A project in west Africa aims to help reunite children living on city streets with their families, often based in other countries. The Project to Protect Child Victims of Rights Violations (PAPEV) operates in six countries and is a joint partnership between UN Human Rights West Africa Regional Office and the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation.
