Former UN Fellow of African descent, Léonard Cortana, works to memorialize and perpetuate the legacies of assassinated human rights defenders’ fight for racial justice. “The power we can give them is to remember their intellectual contribution - not necessarily print their faces on a t-shirt,” he said.

"A white guy who talks about human rights is an activist, a brown guy who talks about human rights is resentful,” said Mexican actor and anti-racism fighter, Tenoch Huerta. The Wakanda Forever star discussed his work against racism, discrimination and their different manifestations, as part of UN Human Rights' Learn, Speak Up, Act! campaign.
