For the past 16 years, the Yeomyung School in Seoul, Republic of Korea, has been a place of refuge for thousands of children, sometimes unaccompanied, who have fled the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK). With the help of benevolent donors, the school has also been able to narrow the digital divide that was revealed by the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We need to address inequalities, and we need to provide a human rights-based response to the situation of migrants and refugees,” says Steve Irakoze, a human rights activist working with migrant and refugee communities in France.
